Add Salesforce usernames to Intacct

When you extend Salesforce Chatter to Intacct, each Intacct user needs a user license for the Salesforce Platform (or higher) edition to use Intacct Collaborate. Each Intacct user who will use Intacct Collaborate must enter their Salesforce username in Intacct.

Salesforce does not support Chatter Free user licenses for Intacct Collaborate. If any Intacct user has a Chatter Free user license, upgrade them to the Salesforce Platform user license.

To extend Chatter from Salesforce into Intacct, you must configure Salesforce before following these steps. For more information on Salesforce configuration requirements, see Set up Collaborate: Extend Salesforce Chatter.

To be completed by each user:

  1. Log in to Intacct.
  2. On the Introducing Intacct Collaborate banner, select Setup my Profile.
    If you do not see the banner, go to Company > Setup > My Preferences, then scroll to the Collaborate preferences section.
  3. In the Collaborate preferences section, enter your Salesforce username and select Save.
  4. On the Verify Your Salesforce Identity pop-up, enter your password and security token and select Done.
