Subscribe and migrate to Sage Collaborate

Subscribe to Sage Collaborate to speed up internal communications for your company, by enabling users to have conversations on actual Intacct records.

Subscribe to Sage Collaborate - new to Collaborate

If you are new to Sage Collaborate and have not previously used Intacct Collaborate, use the following instructions to subscribe to Sage Collaborate.

To subscribe to Sage Collaborate:

  1. Go to Company > Admin > Subscriptions > Sage Collaborate and switch the toggle icon to on.

  2. Select Start fresh with a new Sage Collaborate repository.

    The option to migrate information is only used for companies that previously used Intacct Collaborate.
  3. Select Subscribe to Sage Collaborate.

After Sage Collaborate is enabled, all user types have access to Collaborate.

Open Sage Collaborate by selecting Collaborate at the top of any Intacct page.

Migrate to Sage Collaborate- existing Intacct Collaborate users

Intacct Collaborate is transitioning to Sage Collaborate, the next evolution of Sage's real-time communication tool. This upgrade brings enhanced features and improved performance.

What you need to know

If you are transitioning to Sage Collaborate, here are few things to understand about the migration.

  • Core functionality remains the same.

    Your team can continue sharing information and tracking project updates directly on records.

  • Migration is flexible.

    As an admin, you select how your company transitions to Sage Collaborate.

  • Migration times can vary.

    If you choose to migrate your data, the migration might take one day or longer, depending on the amount of data.

  • Message history is optional.

    You can select to preserve existing conversations or start fresh.

    • Preserve exiting conversations: All comments, conversations, or attached files are migrated and will be available in Sage Collaborate.

    • Start fresh: All comments, conversations, and attached files are permanently unavailable.

Starting fresh means that none of your previous comments, conversations, or files will be available in Sage Collaborate.

Subscribe to Sage Collaborate and decide on data migration

When you are alerted that your company can begin migration to Sage Collaborate, do the following.

The option to migrate information is only used for companies that previously used Intacct Collaborate.

To migrate to Sage Collaborate:

  1. Go to Company > Admin > Subscriptions > Sage Collaborate and switch the toggle icon to on.

  2. Select one option for your company:

    • Migrate your existing Intacct Collaborate messages and data to Sage Collaborate

      All comments, conversations, or attached files are migrated and will be available in Sage Collaborate.

      This option can take several days to complete.
    • Start fresh with a new Sage Collaborate repository

      All comments, conversations, and attached files are permanently unavailable in Sage Collaborate.

      This option will delete all existing Intacct Collaborate messages.
  3. Select Subscribe to Sage Collaborate.

  4. Select Subscribe.

If you chose to migrate your Intacct Collaborate information to Sage Collaborate, you will be notified by email that the migration is complete. All users can begin to use Sage Collaborate after you receive the email.

What happens during migration

  • Decide whether to preserve existing conversations history or start fresh.

  • Access to Intacct Collaborate is disabled during the migration.

  • The process might take one day or longer, depending on your migration choice.

After migration is complete, all users of your Intacct company can access Sage Collaborate.

Troubleshoot Sage Collaborate subscription

To resolve issues where multiple users cannot post or use Sage Collaborate, an admin can reset the onboarding process.

  1. Go to the Company > Subscriptions > Sage Collaborate > Configure.

    The Configure Sage Collaborate page opens.

  2. Select More actions > Reset the user on boarding process.

    This resyncs permissions for all users with the access control service, ensuring that users have the correct rights to use Sage Collaborate.
