You can find import templates in several places in Sage Intacct,

Get import templates from the Company Setup Checklist. Most templates for importing information in Intacct are available for download on this page.

You must be a Business user to access this page in Intacct.

Get import templates from Intacct application areas.

For example, the Supplier import template is available on the Suppliers list page. When you select Import, the import popup contains a link to download the most up-to-date version of the Supplier import template.

Your access to different areas of Intacct is based on your permissions.

Download a new blank template from the Company Setup Checklist whenever you import information into Sage Intacct. Using a downloaded template is important because:
- Templates in the Company Setup Checklist are automatically customized based on your company configuration, including any dimensions and custom fields you created.
- Intacct update templates periodically, especially when a new version of Intacct is released. When templates are updated, an older template might not work upon import.
To download a template from the Company Setup Checklist:
- Go to Company > Setup > Configuration > Import data.
The Company Setup Checklist opens. You’ll find a list of areas that you can import information into Intacct. - Decide on a type of information to upload, and select the Template link associated with that information.
Import your data
You can import your data from the Company Setup Checklist or from applications in Intacct.

Select the Import link on the Company Setup Checklist for the type of information to import into Intacct. Enter information in the appropriate fields in the import dialogue.
You can also import data from the application in Intacct. For example, to import AP purchase invoices:
- Go to Accounts Payable > All > AP purchase invoices and select Import.
- Select your import file and enter information in fields as needed.
- Select Import.
Import templates not on the Company Setup Checklist
Sage Intacct supplies other CSV upload templates that are not found on the Company Setup Checklist or in applications. If you’re looking for more standard templates, download the template from the Company Setup Checklist.
When you select one of the following links, you download an Excel CSV file. Copy the data that you intend to import into the Excel file. For information about the import process, see Prepare your file for CSV import.
