Email delivery log
This list supports the enhanced lists interface. Learn more about using enhanced lists.
The email delivery log lets you check whether any emails that were sent encountered errors. You'll see a list of emails that failed to be sent to one or more recipients. You can drill down and see exactly which email addresses caused problems.
For example, suppose that you email AR sales invoices to multiple customers. By checking the email delivery log, you can see whether any AR sales invoices encountered errors. By drilling down into a particular error, you can see which recipients couldn't be reached. The drill down allows you to go back and correct any errors.
Sage Intacct has updated all companies to the enhanced email delivery service.
-
If your domain is not validated for this service, error logs for sent emails will be in the standard Email delivery history.
-
If your domain is validated, error logs will be in the Enhanced email delivery history.

Troubleshoot incorrect email addresses
The majority of emails are sent to either customers, suppliers, or employees. When you send an email, the email address is typically pulled from the related contact record. You also have the option to enter manually one or more email addresses at the time that you send the email.
If the email address for a customer, supplier, or employee is incorrect, it's best to correct the error in their contact record.
Resend failed emails
After you've corrected any incorrect email addresses, try resending the failed documents.
- Return to the Print or Email page where you originally sent the email.
- The Accounts Receivable, Order Entry, and Purchasing menus have Print or email menu items where you can send AR sales invoices, statements, and other documents.
- For automatic payment notifications to suppliers or employees, you can resend a payment notification that failed by emailing a copy of the payment. From Accounts Payable > All > Payments or Expenses > All > More and choose Print payment copies.
- Use the filters to narrow your search.
- You can filter for a specific range of dates, or for a particular customer, supplier, or employee.
- In the case of Order Entry and Purchasing, you can also filter for a specific type of document.
- Resend the email.
View all emails
By default, the email delivery log displays only failed emails when you first access this list. You can verify whether an email was sent by displaying all emails.
To view all emails sent from the company:
- Select Show all emails found in the top-right corner of the page.
This button acts as a toggle between displaying only showing emails with errors and showing all emails.
Does the email log capture delayed errors?
The email delivery log only lists errors that are encountered at the time the emails are sent.
Occasionally email errors are returned some time after the email is sent. For example, a particular email domain might return an error several hours after the original email was sent. These errors are not captured in the log.
