Edit a computation name
The Computations tab appears only for reports that display accounts on rows, rather than dimensions. However, all types of financial reports provide the option to add a summary column that computes a value from other columns, such as computing the average across a set of columns.

Reports: List, View, Add, Edit |
If you have existing computation columns, they will either have the name you gave them when you created the computation, or the default name, without a description.
You might find that you want to change the computation name or description.
- Open the report and tab to Computations.
- Change the Name or the description for the computation.
Names can be 20 characters long. Computations without names will use the default Computation 1, Computation 2, and so on.
Descriptions can be up to 30 characters, but brevity is a best practice because the description appears on 1 line.
- Save your changes.
The report now uses the new name.
