View stories in IVE

After you create and refine slides, you can share your story with an audience. You can do share your story in the following ways:

Business, Project Manager, and Warehouse
Permissions
  • Platform Services: Run, List, View, Add, Edit, Delete for Interactive Visual Explorer
  • Permissions for the data the visual board contains

Present live data

You can present live data directly from IVE. For example, you might be in a meeting where there are questions about recent sales orders and trends. Rather than exporting the slides to a file, you can show the live data.

In Presentation mode, IVE resembles a dashboard in which Canvases and Properties areas are hidden from view.
  1. From the Narrate workspace, select Present.
  2. Present your story in the following ways:
    • You can move through your slides by selecting the arrows at the bottom of the page. The indicator at the bottom center of the page lets you know which slide you are on.
    • You can Use as Filter on visualization to filter the data on the slide just as you did in the Narrate and Visualize workspaces. Filtering data allows you to focus in on data that's relevant to the current conversation.
  3. To exit presentation mode, select the X at the top right of the page.

Export slides to files

You can export your slides to a file type of your choice.

  1. From the Narrate workspace, select the Share icon Select the Share icon to export a presentation to a File or Print format..
  2. Select the format for your presentation: File or Print.
  3. Choose the appropriate options for the selected format: File or Print.
    4. Narrate export options
    Option Description
    Name Name of the file that's exported.

    Format

    (File only)

    		 Choose from: PowerPoint (pptx), Acrobat (pdf), Image (png), or Data (csv).
    Include Choose from: Active Page, Active Visual, or All Story Pages.
    Size Set the size of the file.
    Orientation Choose from Portrait or Landscape.
