Funds hidden from entity navigation
If your company uses the nonprofit QuickStart template, you can now hide entities that are funds from entity selection dropdown lists.
Details
We've added a Traditional Fund Accounting option on the Company Information > Accounting tab. Selecting this option gives you the ability to designate an entity as a fund on the Entity Information page.
After an entity is designated as a fund, the entity is no longer included in entity selection dropdowns. Intacct shows you only your entities in the list, rather than both entities and funds.
How it works
Enable Traditional Fund Accounting
Before you can designate an entity as a Fund, you need to enable Traditional Fund Accounting.
- Go to Company > Setup > Company.
- Go to the Accounting tab and select Edit.
- Select Traditional Fund Accounting in the Accounting practice for funds section.
- Save your changes.
Designate Entities as Funds
After enabling Traditional Fund Accounting, review your entities to determine which ones will be marked as Funds.
- Go to Company > Setup > Entities.
- Select Edit next to the Entity that you want to designate as a Fund.
- On the Entity information tab, in the Entity section, select Fund as the Type for the entity.
- Save your changes.
The entities designated as Funds are hidden from view in the entity select dropdowns.
