Stop a contract renewal

The contract renewal engine runs approximately every 5 minutes, and will immediately execute the contract renewal process against a contract when it encounters a contract renewal date or a contract's End date that is equal to today's date.

If you want to Do this

Stop one or more contract lines in one contract from renewing

Perform the following procedure before the contract renewal date or contract End date, as applicable.

  1. Open the contract in Edit mode.
  2. Open a contract line in Edit mode.
  3. Clear the Renew checkbox and save the contract line.
  4. Repeat steps 2 - 3 for each contract line.

Stop one or more contracts from renewing

Perform the following procedure before the contract renewal date or contract End date, as applicable.

  1. Open a contract in Edit mode.
  2. Select the Renew tab.
  3. Clear the Renew checkbox and save the contract.
  4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 for each contract.

Stop contract renewals on contracts with past End dates (End dates that are earlier than today's date)

This is generally only applicable during the implementation process. See Allow historical contracts to be imported or created.

Stop contract renewals for all contracts

In an urgent situation, you can temporarily turn off scheduled jobs for your company to stop all contracts from renewing.

This will stop all scheduled jobs, including scheduled reports, recurring transactions, and so on. Use this solution with caution.
