Revert a partial disposal—Fixed Assets Management
If you partially dispose of an asset by mistake, you can revert the partial disposal.
Reverting a partial disposal does the following:
-
Deletes the related partial disposal journal entries.
-
Removes the partial disposal record from the asset's Disposals tab and depreciation schedules.
-
Restores the remaining depreciation for each depreciation schedule to its previous value before the disposal.
-
Restores depreciation entries in the Not posted state to their previous amounts before the disposal.
Before you begin
Verify the following:
-
The asset is in the In service state.
-
The disposal you want to revert is the most recent partial disposal. To revert an earlier disposal, first revert each disposal after it, starting with the most recent.
-
No depreciation, transfers, or cost adjustments occurred after the partial disposal date.
