Delegate purchasing transaction approvals
If you are going to be unavailable to approve purchasing transactions, you can delegate your approval responsibilities to prevent delays. When you set an out-of-office period for approval delegation in your personal preferences, new approval requests are sent to your delegate approver, which keeps the transactions moving through the approval process.
When delegation is on, approval request notifications are sent to both the original approver as well as the delegated user regardless of user preference settings to receive email notifications.

Set up out-of-office approval delegation
When you set up an out-of-office period for approval delegation, Sage Intacct sends any new approval requests to your assigned delegate. You will not see the purchasing transactions that were sent to your delegate in the Approve Transactions page.
Any approvals that have been delegated while you are out-of-office remain with your delegate, even if your out-of-office approval delegation period ends before the delegate has approved or declined the transaction.
- Select your user name at the top of any page, and then select My preferences.
In the Email notifications section under Approval delegation, select the checkbox for each application for which you need to delegate approvals.
- Set your out-of-office start and end dates.
New approval requests sent during this period are routed to your assigned delegate until the specified end date. - Select Save.
New approval requests sent during this period are routed to your assigned delegate until the specified end date.
