Narrate overview—IVE

As you explore data in visualizations, you can capture important information in one, or more insights and build your story. For example, you might notice certain trends in your data that you want to add to a story for a client presentation.

Navigate the narrate workspace

The Narrate workspace in Interactive Custom Report Writer allows you to create presentations from visualizations. You can use the presentations in live events, or export to files that can be shared.

1. Narrate: You get to the Narrate workspace by selecting Narrate at the top of the IVE page.
2. Canvases: This area of the Narrate workspace holds the canvases you created in the Visualize workspace. Each canvas you create is listed here and available to use.
3. Slides: Drag and drop canvases to the Slides area to create a narrative for your data. You can select between the slides at the bottom of the page to interact with the visualizations on the slides.
4. Slide display: Canvases are displayed in this area after you add a canvas to your Slides area. You can manipulate your visualizations to present just the data that's needed.
5. Properties: Adjust the properties of your slides and visualizations.
6. Comment or share: After you craft the story you want your data to tell, it's time to share that story. Here you can present the slides live, or export the slides to the file type of your choice for use in other mediums.
