Inventory Control permissions

Inventory Control permissions control who has access and visibility to Inventory Control functionality.

When a new feature is added, you typically need to assign permissions to users. This allows you to control access of who can use those new features.

A user's effective permissions can be influenced by their user type, role, and admin privileges. Learn more about user types and permissions.

Use shortcuts to assign or remove permissions quickly

At the top of the Activities and lists section and Reports section, there are 3 options that let you quickly configure permissions across that application area. For example, to assign users full access to Accounts Payable, select All at the top of the Activities and lists section and Reports section.

Activities and lists	None: User has no permissions to activities and lists. Read only: User can list and view records. All: User has permissions to all activities and lists.
Reports	None: User has no permissions to run reports. Read only: User can run a select subset of reports only. All: User can run all reports. The Read only and All options function the same for reporting.

Item GL groups	List: Displays a list of item General Ledger groups. View: Provides a read-only view for item General Ledger group information. Requires the List permission. Units of measure	List: Displays a list of units of measure. View: Provides a read-only view for unit of measure information. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to edit unit of measure information. Requires the List permission.
Serial mask	List: Displays a list of serial masks. View: Provides a read-only view for serial mask details, such as the length and name. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add serial masks. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to update serial mask details, such as the length but not the name. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete serial masks. Requires the List permission.
Zone	List: Displays a list of zone records. View: Provides a read-only view for zone information, such as the zone ID and description. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add zone records. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to change zone information, such as the description but not the ID. Requires the List permission. Aisle	List: Displays a list of aisle records. View: Provides a read-only view for aisle information, such as the aisle ID and description. Requires the List permission. Price list entry	On the Inventory Control price list, users can manage price list entries using the Details link. Requires the Price lists List permission. List: Displays a list of price entries. View: Provides a read-only view for price list entry information. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add price entries. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to edit price list entry information except for the price list ID. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete price entries. Requires the List permission.
Inventory totals	List: Displays a list of Inventory totals. View: Provides a read-only view for Inventory total information, such as the name and status. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add Inventory totals. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to change Inventory total information, such as the status but not the name. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete Inventory totals. Requires the List permission.
Inventory cycles	List: Displays a list of Inventory cycles. View: Provides a read-only view for Inventory cycle information, such as the name, description, and status. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add Inventory cycles. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to update Inventory cycle information, such as the description and status. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete Inventory cycles. Requires the List permission.
Build and disassemble kits	Build and disassemble kit permissions control the Build kits and Disassemble kits features. List: Displays a list of build kit records and disassemble kit records. View: Users can view build kit information and disassemble kit information. Add: Allows users to add build kit records and disassemble kit records.
Inventory transactions	List: Displays a list of Inventory Control transaction records. View: Provides a read-only view for Inventory Control transaction details. Users can also print Inventory Control transactions. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add Inventory Control transaction records. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to edit Inventory Control transaction details. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete Inventory Control transaction records. Requires the List permission.
Warehouse transfer	List: Displays a list of warehouse transfer records. View: Provides a read-only view for warehouse transfer information. Requires the List permission. Cycle counts	List: Displays a list of cycle counts. View: Provides a read-only view for cycle count details. Add: Allows users to add cycle counts. Edit: Enables users to update cycle count details. Delete: Users can delete cycle counts. Reconcile: Allows users to reconcile cycle counts.
Maintain inventory valuation	List: Displays the Maintain inventory valuation list. View: Provides a read-only view for inventory valuation maintenance results. Add: Allows users to add inventory valuations. Delete: Enables users to delete inventory valuations.
Prior period COGS adjustments	List: Displays a list of prior period COGS adjustments. Add: Allows users to add prior period COGS adjustments. Delete: Enables users to delete prior period COGS adjustments.
Replenish inventory	Preview: Displays the Replenish inventory page. Generate: Allows you to generate purchase orders to replenish inventory items. Requires the Preview permission.
Replenishment fluctuating forecasts	List: Displays a list of fluctuating forecast records. View: Provides a read-only view for fluctuating forecast information. Requires the List permission. Add: Allows users to add fluctuating forecast records. Requires the List permission. Edit: Enables users to update fluctuating forecast information. Requires the List permission. Delete: Users can delete fluctuating forecast records. Requires the List permission.
Landed costs category	List: Displays a list of landed cost categories. View: Provides a read-only view for landed cost category information. Requires the List permission.
