Personal data in Sage Intacct

Personal data is data that is legally defined and protected under data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.

Guidelines

Sage Intacct is not intended to be a general data storage or file management application. Therefore, limit your collection and storage of personal data in Intacct only to data that is strictly necessary for your use of Intacct for its intended purpose as an accounting application.

If you need to include personal data in your accounting records in Intacct, follow these guidelines:

  • Only store personal data in the fields and objects listed below.
  • Do not store personal data in custom objects, custom fields, or user-defined dimensions.
  • Do not store personal data in attachments. See our recommended best practices for attachments.
  • Limit duplicate records that contain personal or sensitive data.
