| Checklist category |
Select a Checklist category from the dropdown menu. You can add a new checklist category or select a pre-defined category. The checklist category is a user-defined list of categories specific to checklists. While a checklist category is not required for a checklist, it can be helpful to categorize checklists into groups. You can group by activities, the organization responsible for those activities, or other types of information that help you track checklists. Examples of checklist category names: Quarter-end Close, Month-end Close, or Compliance Control. The name can contain up to 200 characters. |

Enter a Checklist name. You can use any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Make the checklist name unique and descriptive to help you and your colleagues find the right checklist. The checklist name can be changed or updated. The name can contain up to 200 characters. |

Enter a Checklist description, as needed. The description can help ensure that you and your colleagues are using the right checklist. The description can contain up to 300 characters. |
| Checklist status |
Select a Checklist status from the dropdown menu. You can add a new checklist status or select a pre-defined status. The checklist status is a user-defined list of statuses specific to checklists. While a checklist status is not required for a checklist, the status can help you track the activities within a checklist. For example, a status of Phase 2 can be that two assignments are complete, and the rest are in progress. Examples of checklist status names: Not Started, In Progress, or Complete. The name can contain up to 200 characters. |
| Checklist owner |
Select a Checklist owner from the dropdown menu. Enter a name in the field to filter the list. The checklist owner can be any user in Sage Intacct. When needed, the checklist owner can be changed. For example, if a colleague is on vacation and the checklist activities need to be completed, you can select a different checklist owner to oversee the checklist activities. |
| Status |
Select Active or Inactive as the Status. Checklists set to Active are available and appear in the checklist list. Checklists set to Inactive are unavailable and do not appear in the checklist list. |

| Assignment name |
Enter an Assignment name. You can use any combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Make the assignment name unique and descriptive. The assignment name can be changed or updated. The name can contain up to 200 characters. |
| Assignment description |
Enter a Description, as needed. The description can help you and your colleagues understand the requirements of an assignment. The description can contain up to 200 characters. |
| Start date |
Set a start date for the assignment. Enter the date manually or use the date selector. The start date must be before the due date. |
| Due date |
Set a due date for the assignment. Enter the date manually or use the date selector. The due date must be after the start date. |
| Assignee |
Select an Assignee from the dropdown menu. Enter a name in the field to filter the list. The assignee can be any user in Sage Intacct. When needed, the assignee can be changed. For example, if a colleague is on vacation but the assignment needs to be completed, you can select a different assignee to complete the assignment. |
| Assignment status |
Select an Assignment status from the dropdown menu. You can add a new assignment status or select a pre-defined status. The assignment status is a user-defined list of statuses specific to assignments. While an assignment status is not required for an assignment, the status can help you track the activities related to the assignment. Examples of assignment status names: Not Started, In Progress, or Blocked. The name can contain up to 200 characters. |
| Percent complete |
Use the Percent complete field to indicated how completed the assignment is currently. For example, an assignment requires four pieces of information. If you only have two pieces of information, you can enter 50% complete in this field. |
| Actual end date |
Select the Actual end date for the assignment. Enter the date manually or use the date selector. Use this field to indicate when an assignment was actually finished. This can help to track actual work time and determine which assignments might need more or less time than expected. |
| Attachment |
If the assignment requires documents to be submitted, use this field to attach the required documents. For more information about attaching documents, see Add an attachment. |

Add a comment about the assignment in this field. |
