Configure Consolidation
Use the Configure Consolidation page to configure a parent company for those special items it must have to act in the consolidating role. Examples of special items include the top-level location for the consolidated data and accounts that back out amounts that represent the percentage of any subsidiaries in which your ownership isn't 100%.
Only parent consolidating companies need to fill out the Configure Consolidation page.

Notifications
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
|
Email address |
Large consolidation processes require a few minutes. Upon completion of a successful consolidation, an email is sent to this address. However, if you forget to perform a mapping before running a consolidation (for example, unbeknownst to you someone added an account and posted a transaction to it, and you did not map this account), you will receive an email notifying you that the consolidation could not be performed on the account. In addition, if an error occurs during a mapping process, a notification is also sent to this address. |
Consolidating location
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
|
Location ID
|
This is the location to which the consolidated financial data is assigned. It becomes your "view" of the consolidation data. This is a top level with a view into all the subsidiaries, as well as special transactions that only occur at the top, or consolidating level, such as eliminations and adjustments for acquisitions. Select the dropdown list to select a location for the consolidated data. If one does not already exist, select Add and create one. |
