About how Sage Intacct upgrades your company
Our team places the locations you use in your company under your newly defined entity. For example, locations San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento are all placed under the entity E100 - California.
All existing transactions in your company are associated with the newly defined entity. Any transaction assigned to the San Francisco location, for example, is now a transaction in the California entity. The San Francisco location is still assigned.
Any transactions without a location assigned are assigned to the newly defined entity. Similarly, all transactions with a location dimension will remain under that location dimension in the new entity.
All master data records are assigned to the top level.
Examples of master data records include:
- Customers
- Vendors
- Contacts
- GL accounts
- Items
- Contracts
- Projects
- Employees
