About bulk action runs—Fixed Assets Management

Sage Intacct creates a bulk action run for processes that affects multiple assets or entries, such as posting depreciation. Intacct processes bulk action runs in the order in which they were received, so the time it takes to process a run can vary. Typically, runs start within 5 minutes and complete within 10 minutes. You can view a run to check its status. After the run is finished processing, you'll receive an email with the results.

Actions that create bulk action runs

  • Post depreciation (manually or automatically)

  • Revert depreciation (from the Post Depreciation list)

  • Reverse depreciation (from the Post Depreciation list)

Email notification

When a bulk action run is finished processing, Intacct sends an email to the user who initiated the run. If the run is initiated automatically, the notification is sent to the administrative contact listed in Company settings. The email includes the total number of records processed, the number of records that processed successfully, and the number of errors that occurred, if any. This information is also available in the bulk action run record, so you can delete the email.

Run states

All records begin in the Queued state. After the run starts, records transition to In progress, and finally to Success or Failed.

  • Queued: The record is waiting for the bulk action run to start.

  • In progress: The bulk action run is currently processing the record but hasn't finished yet.

  • Success: The record was processed successfully.

  • Failed: The record was not processed due to errors. See the Error message column for more information.
