Set or change the journal for non-depreciable asset disposals—Fixed Assets Management

If your company tracks non-depreciable assets, define a journal to record their associated disposal journal entries. This journal is also used for asset transfers.

You can change the journal at any time. Changing it does not affect assets that are already transferred or disposed. Moving forward, assets that are transferred or disposed will use the new journal.

1. Go to Fixed Assets Management > Setup > Configuration.
2. Select Edit.

3. In the Asset transfer and disposal settings section, select a Journal for transfers and non-depreciable assets.

   Select an active journal. Do not select a statistical journal or a journal that's used for adjustments.

4. Select Save.
