Reorder Platform trigger lists

The order in which triggers display on the Triggers list mirrors the order in which they activate when triggered by the same event.

For example, let's say that you have triggers A and B set to activate after update. Trigger B depends on the information set by the trigger A. Ensure that trigger A is above trigger B on the Triggers list.

The Platform trigger infrastructure works on standard and custom objects. Developers can place triggers before and after creating, updating, and deleting an object. Note that when working with Purchasing approval states, Triggers cannot fire based on partially approved or declined states.
  1. Go to Platform Services > All > Objects.

  2. Find and select the object with the triggers you want to reorder.
  3. Use the Filter by application dropdown list at the top of the page to filter by custom applications. Use the filter fields at the top of the list to filter for a specific object.

  4. On the Object Definition page, select Triggers at the top of the page.
  5. In the Triggers section, select Reorder.
  6. Select and move triggers up or down the list as needed.
  7. Select Save.
