Field descriptions: Preview a project invoice

Budgeted billing amount |
If you're invoicing by project, this is the amount you've budgeted to bill for this project. This is set in the Project Summary (Projects > All > Projects > Edit > Project Summary tab). |

Billed-to-date |
If you're invoicing by project, this is the amount you've billed up to today (Actual billings) for this project. This is set in the Project Summary (Projects > All > Projects > Edit > Project Summary tab). |

Budgeted duration |
If you're invoicing by project, this is the amount of time in hours you've budgeted for this project. This is set in the Project Summary (Projects > All > Projects > Edit > Project Summary tab). |

Billed-to-date-hours |
If you're invoicing by project, this is the amount of time in hours you've billed for this project up to today (Total billed hours). This is set in the Project Summary (Projects > All > Projects > Edit > Project Summary tab). |
| Total amount to invoice |
The total amount of the billable transactions in Preview. You can measure this against your budgeted billing amount and deselect or write off transactions to adjust the total in real time. |

Invoice template |
Prefilled based on the selection you made on the first Generate Invoices page. Can’t be edited. |

Customer |
The customer you’re invoicing. |

Project |
The project you’re invoicing. |
|
Invoice date |
The date the invoice was created. The default is the current date. |
|
GL Post date |
The date the invoice posts to the GL. The default is the current date. |
|
Payment term |
Defaults from the project. |
|
Due date |
Required. Must be in MM/DD/YYYY format. You can also click the Calendar icon and then click the date you want. |
|
Bill-to contact |
Defaults from the customer. |
|
Ship-to contact |
Defaults from the customer. |
|
Invoice reference / purchase order |
The invoice reference number on your invoice, which is also the purchase order associated with your project. |

Invoice message |
Enter a message for your invoice. If your project or customer was created with an invoice message associated with their record, that message will appear here automatically. You can change the message by clicking on the field and entering a new message.

Save document as |
Choose to save your document as either Submitted and posted or as a Draft. |

Price list |
Select the default Price List that will be used to look up prices, if project-specific pricing isn't specified. |

Invoicing currency |
The currency in which your invoice will be generated.

Exchange rate date |
Must be in MM/DD/YYYY format. You can also click the Calendar icon and then click the date you want. |

Exchange rate type |
By default, the exchange rate type is the Intacct Daily Rate. |
|
Exchange rate |
You can override the default exchange rate. For example, if the administrator hasn’t yet entered the rate for today, rather than using the last rate entered, you can enter it directly into this field. |
