Delete projects
In general, you can only delete newly created projects without posted transactions. If posted transactions exist for the project, you can only make the project inactive, but not delete it.

Go to Projects > All > Projects.

Optionally, do any of the following:
- Select Display hierarchy to show a hierarchical view.

When you access the list from the top level, you initially only see records created at the top level. To see records created within entities, select Filters and then select Include entity records. Select Apply to update the filter.

Records designated as Inactive do not appear in the list by default. To view these records, select Filters at the top of the list and select Remove next to the Status filter to remove it.
- Create a custom view that contains only inactive topics.
- Find the project in the list that you want to delete.

Select More actions > Delete at the end of the row.

Go to Projects > All > Projects.
- Optionally, do any of the following:
- Select Display hierarchy to show a hierarchical view.
- To see items created within the entities of a top-level company, select Include private.
- To view inactive projects, select Include inactive. Or, create a custom view that contains only inactive topics.
- Find the project in the list that you want to delete and select Delete.
