User permissions reports

There are several different types of reports you can use to analyze user permissions. These reports help you see permissions across the company, for specific users, or help track how permissions for users have changed.

Permissions and roles report for a single user

This report is a consolidated view of all the permissions a single user has across the company and takes into account their user type, roles (for role-based companies), and permissions.

For more information about this report, see Permissions and roles report for a single user.

Permissions report for all direct users

This report makes it easier to review permissions across all direct users. Slide-in, or external users are not included in this report. However, the Effective permissions for external users report does report on external users permissions.

For more information about the permissions report for all direct users, see Example Permissions report for all users—CRW.

Audit trail for permission changes

An Audit Trail report enables you to view and track changes to user permissions. This report displays both user and role permissions for accessing financial data; tracks additions, deletions, and modifications to those permissions; and tracks user information.

For more information about this report, see Example User Permissions Activity report—CRW.

Effective permissions for a user

Effective permissions are derived from the combination of a user's type, a user's admin privileges, and whether or not they are operating in a role-based or user-based company.

For more information about this report, see Effective permissions for a user.

Effective permissions for external users

External users have the ability to switch in to a company from a console company. These users have their own set of permissions.

For more information about this report, see Effective permissions for external users.
