Field descriptions: Dashboard properties
The following table describes each item in the Dashboard properties page.
Appearance tab
| Field | Description |

| Title |
The title appears at the top of the dashboard. If you select a group for this dashboard, that group name appears in front of the dashboard title. |
| Description |
Enter a description of the dashboard, possibly with the reason for the dashboard or to add a note about who should be using it. |
| Columns |
Define the number of columns that the dashboard uses. Choose between 1 and 3 columns. |
| Flexible-width column |
If a column contains a wide component, give it flexible width to see as much detail as possible without needing to scroll. |
| Color |
Select a prepackaged color theme for the dashboard, or set up your own by selecting Custom color. |
| Group |
To help organize dashboards on the Dashboards menu, you can place them into groups. To create a new group, select Create new group. Refresh your browser to see the new group in the Dashboards menu. |
| Default |
Select to set up a Dashboards menu double-click default. |
Filters tab

| As of date |
Enable this to allow dashboard users to filter by a different as of date than the default. |
| Dimensions |
Place a checkmark beside each dimension to allow dashboard users to filter for within the dashboard. |
Permissions tab
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Owner |
Administrators can take ownership of someone else's dashboard or assign it to someone else. This is particularly useful if a dashboard owner leaves the company. |
| Group or User |
Before you allow a user or group to use your dashboard, you must first add them to your company. Give an individual user permission to use your dashboard:

| Access rights for groups and users |
You can give permission to a group, but deny permission to selected individuals in the group. First, set up permission for the entire group. Then select the user or group and set the desired permissions (Allow or Deny). |
