Set the display of related dimension field (optional)

The related dimension field appears with a look-up icon (magnifier) on the customer record. This field type works best with 1-to-many, or many-to-many relationships. You can set the related dimension field to use a dropdown list, which is easier, for example, for a 1-to-1 relationship.

If this is the first time you’re adding a relationship to the base dimension record, after you open the customer page, you will not see the relationship field until you perform the task described in the following instructions. If you add a second relationship, Intacct automatically displays it with a lookup field.
  1. Go to the base dimension record. For example if Customer is the base dimension, go to Accounts Receivable > All > Customers.
  2. Find any customer, and select Edit.
  3. Go to More actions on the top of the page, and select Edit this page.
  4. Select the related field, in this example, Location.
  5. In the left panel, select Show standard picker. Creating a standard picker enables you to select the related value for Location.
  6. Select Save & synchronize. The Synchronize: Edit customer page appears.
  7. Select Select all to enable the location relationship to appear as a dropdown list in both the New or View version of customer records.
