Account groups level of detail—Financial Report Writer

As you work on this tab, the choices you make determine what appears along the left side of your report.

This version of the Rows tab applies only if you created a financial report that features account groups on the rows of the report. Learn more about Select a report structure (new reports only).

Reports are preset to show account groups fully expanded, including all subgroups and individual accounts. However, you can choose the level of detail you want to show.

  1. Select the option for the level of detail:
    • To set the level of detail for the entire report, select the Detail level column and select Set detail level.
    • To set the level of detail for an individual account group, select the account group row. In the Detail level column select Edit.
  2. Choose Detail or Summary.
  3. If you select Summary, choose whether to Expand by dimension.
  4. Expand by dimension lets you expand rows to show a breakdown by location, department, or other dimension. Learn more about expanding by dimension or dimension structure.

  5. Select Set.

You can select any of the above options for account groups that contain individual accounts.
