Field descriptions: Edit timesheets—Sage Intelligent Time
The following tables list each field on the Edit timesheets page, for both My timesheets and Staff timesheets in Sage Intelligent Time.
Summary tiles
| Field | Description |

| Begin date | Your Intacct company determines the begin date rules. Select an appropriate beginning date based on your company standards. |
| End date | The End date is automatically calculated based on the timesheet rules in Intacct. |
| Total hours | The total number of hours worked. This calculation includes both positive and negative time. |
| Total billable | The total number of hours that will be billed back to the client. |
| Total nonbillable | The total number of hours that will not be billed back to the client. |
| GL post date | The date when the monetary transactions associated with the timesheet are recorded in the General Ledger. Defaults to the timesheet End date. |
| Timesheet status |
The current state of the timesheet.
The last action determines whether the timesheet status appears as Partially approved or Partially declined. For example, if you last approved entries, the timesheet appears as Partially approved. If you last declined entries, the timesheet appears as Partially declined. |
Timesheet information

| Employee |
The employee associated with this timesheet. If you’re accessing the timesheet from the Staff timesheets page, you can edit this field. Otherwise it’s read only. |

Optionally, enter additional details about the timesheet. |
| Manage attachments |
Select this button to view, add, or delete attachment files associated with this timesheet. |
Activities
This section shows the activities that SIT gathered based on your connected time sources. You can decide to include these activities by dragging and dropping them into your timesheet.
The Activities section is only available when viewing your own timesheet. It is not available in Staff Timesheets.

| Unassigned |
The Unassigned tab contains the activities that you have not assigned to a timesheet row. Each activity card has three controls:

| Assigned |
The Assigned tab contains all activity cards that you have either assigned to a timesheet row, or marked as trash. You can reassign any activity card in this area. Select Reassign to open the Assign Activity Card dialogue and change the dimensional information as needed. |

Displays the following options:

Allocation |
Select to add an allocation row to distribute time. The allocation populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. For more information, go to Distribute timesheet entries. |

Class |
Select a class associated with the employee, if applicable. The class populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |
| Project | Select a project dimension, if applicable. |
| Task | Select a task dimension, if applicable. |
| Time type |
If available, use this field to categorize the time. Each company's time types can differ, but might include salary, contract hours, overtime, vacation, travel time, and so on. Learn more about time types. |

Department |
Select a department that the employee works in, if applicable. The department populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |

Location |
Select a location where the employee works, if applicable. The location populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |

Customer |
The customer to which the employee's time is allocated. This reflects the vendor associated with the time entry. The customer populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |

Vendor |
The vendor to which the employee's time is allocated. This reflects the customer associated with the time entry. The vendor populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |

Item |
The item that the employee works with. The item populates automatically if a value is selected on the employee record. |
| Billable |
Select to bill the line item to the client. By default, time is not billed. |
| Days |
Enter the number of hours worked under the appropriate day of the week. Use the arrows to scroll to different days of the week. |

Select the Notes icon to the right of a time entry cell to add a description, notes, or assign additional dimensions to the time entry. The note icon appears only after you enter time in the cell. |
| Description |
Any description you provide is visible to approvers and can help them understand your time entry. Next to the Description field, select Draft with AI AssistantBeta to automatically generate a description for your time entry using artificial intelligence. If you manually enter or modify the description, then the button will be disabled. To re-enable it, delete your description. Descriptions that are generated with Copilot display a badge that says "Powered by Ai".
