Enhanced email delivery and insights

The enhanced email delivery service features support for DKIM authentication, the industry-leading standard for email security. DKIM ensures that your emails are delivered to their intended recipients quickly and reliably. Additionally, our enhanced email insights provide visibility into the delivery status of your emails.

We're rolling out this new service in phases, but if you'd like to try it sooner sign up below to take advantage of DKIM authentication and our enhanced insights.

How it works

To start using the new email delivery service, you authenticate your domain and enter your DNS keys.

After you authenticate your domain, you can send emails not only from your main domain but also from any sub-domains associated with it. For instance, if you authenticate domain.com, you'll be able to send authenticated emails from sub-domains like billing.domain.com or invoice.domain.com.

You can then go to the new email delivery log to view email delivery details, such as the status of delivery, or the recipient status.

To configure the new email delivery service:

  1. Authenticate your domain on the Company > Setup tab > Company > Security tab.

  2. Enter your DNS keys.
    The following keys are needed:

    • The CNAME that is used to configure the SPF record.

    • The two CNAMEs used to configure DKIM authentication.

    • One or two TXT strings that are used to configure EKS.

    • The TXT string that is used to configure SPF for the previous email delivery service.

Intacct recommends validating your DNS entries to verify that the enhanced email delivery service is working correctly. You can use any tool you prefer to validate your DNS entries.
Intacct provides instructions for how to use https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx. See Validate DNS entries for more information.

To view the new email delivery log:

  1. Go to Company >  Admin > History and reports > New email delivery history.

By default, administrators automatically have access to the new email delivery log. Administrators can give access to other users by updating the users' Company permissions.

  2. Select View next to an item to examine a particular email.
    • The left side of the record shows information about the email such as when the email was sent, its status, and who sent it.
    • The right side of the record displays a copy of the email that was sent, including who it was sent to.
    • The individual recipient status log shows the status of the email for each recipient and any relevant information.
