Construction enhancements

Sage Intacct Construction offers new features in the following areas to improve the efficiency and accuracy with which you manage construction projects.

• Payroll tax

• Combine construction project details into one report

• Time and materials summary billing

Payroll tax enhancements

Now, you can systematically determine Construction payroll tax levels as Federal, state, or local with the new Payroll Report Tax Setup reporting area. This reporting area is included with Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) and Interactive Visual Explorer (IVE).

The Payroll Report Tax Setup reporting area enables you to categorize and setup information for payroll report taxes to extend construction payroll reporting. The fields used in this reporting area include Tax ID, State/Province, Reporting level (Federal, State, Local), Tax category (WC, SUI, SIT, etc.), and Tax type.

Combine Construction project details into one report

Now, you can systematically generate formatted construction invoice documents for project contract billings with the new Project Contract Billing Detail reporting area. This reporting area is included with Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) and Interactive Visual Explorer (IVE).

The Project Contract Billing Detail reporting area enables you to aggregate Order Entry invoice amounts and related information by project contract line. This reporting area enables you to create ICRW reports and IVE visualizations that include the following entries:

• Project estimates

• GL entries

• Purchasing subledger entries

• Purchasing and Order Entry document entries and subtotals

• Timesheets

• Released AR and AP retainage

How to select a reporting area

One of the first things you do when you create an ICRW report or IVE visualization is to select a reporting area. A reporting area correlates with data objects. Each reporting area provides specialized data options that you can choose to include in your report or visualization.

1. Review the Reporting areas reference for descriptions of the available reporting areas to determine which one provides the data best suited for your report.

2. Follow the instructions in Selecting a reporting area for ICRW or Create visualizations in IVE.

Time and materials summary billing enhancement

Now Project contract Time and Material contract lines that are summarized into a single invoice entry can be viewed in the Invoice run under the Project contract transactions section. A new checkbox has been added to the grid to show which project contract lines are summarized lines.
