View contract renewal relationships

You can view contract renewal relationships in the following two places:

  • Contracts list
  • Contract - Renewals tab

View contract renewal relationships in the Contracts list

You can view a graphical representation of how contracts are related in the Contracts list. The view shows a hierarchical structure of parent-child relationships using icons and indentations. A "parent" is the original contract created for a particular customer. The system creates "child" contracts when it renews a contract.

The system numbers child contracts using the convention <original contract number>-1, <original contract number>-2, and so on, as in the following illustration.

To view the Contracts list:

  1. Go to Contracts > AllContracts.

  2. At the top of the Contracts list, select the Display Hierarchy checkbox.

View contract renewal relationships in the Contract - Renewals tab

The Renewals History table in the contract Renewals tab displays one entry for each contract created as a result of a renewal chaining from an original source contract.

To view the Renewals tab:

  1. Go to Contracts > AllContracts.

  2. Select Edit or View next to the desired contract.
  3. In the Contracts page, select the Renewals tab.
