Contracts sync options
There are several options for how you sync Contracts between Sage Intacct and Salesforce.
Sync Contracts only once
You can prevent any changes made in Salesforce from overriding your Contract in Intacct by setting Contracts to sync only once to Intacct.
To allow Contracts to sync only once:
- Log in to Salesforce as an administrator.
- Go to the Intacct Configuration tab in the IntacctAdvanced CRM Integration application.
- Select the Intacct Synchronization > Contract tab.
- In the Sync Contracts only once section, select an option:
- Draft: If you're using the Sync as draft option and the Contract has never been synced to Intacct, the Contract syncs in a draft state. No further updates to the Contract can be made in Salesforce.
- All: If your Contract has never been synced to Intacct before, the Contract is synced to Intacct. No further updates to the Contract can be made in Salesforce.
- Save your changes.
Sync Contracts as draft
You can sync a Contract from Salesforce to Intacct in a draft state.
To sync a Contract from Salesforce to Intacct as a draft, add the Sync as Draft checkbox to the Contracts View and Edit page layouts in Salesforce.
When checked, the Contract header information is synced to Intacct in a draft state. You can also add a button to the Opportunity that adds all Opportunity lines to the associated Contract as draft lines.
After a Contract has been synced as a draft to Intacct, you won’t be able to sync the Contract again from Salesforce. However, if you add a new Opportunity to the Contract in Salesforce and add lines to your Opportunity, you can sync these new lines as drafts to the Contract in Intacct.
To be able to sync new Opportunity lines to the Contract in Intacct, add the Modify Contract as Draft button to the Opportunity page layout.
Sync only the Contract header
You can choose to sync only the contract header between Intacct and Salesforce.
- Log in to Salesforce as an administrator and go to Setup.
- In Quick Find, enter Contracts, and select Contracts > Page Layouts.
- Select Edit next to the Intacct Contract template.
- In the Intacct Template area of the page layout, select Fields.

Scroll to the right and drag and drop the Sync Header Only field to the page layout template.
A checkbox is added to the Contract page layout.
- Save your changes.
When a Contract is created or updated, if Sync Header Only is checked, only the header information for the Contract is synced to Intacct.
If Sync Header Only is left unchecked, both the Contract header information and the Opportunity Product lines associated with the Contract are synced to Intacct.
- Use the Mass Sync tool to sync Contracts.
- Use the Modify Contract button from an add-on Opportunity.
Sync only the Contract lines
You can choose to sync only the Contract Opportunity Product line information between Intacct and Salesforce.
- Log in to Salesforce as an administrator and go to Setup.
- In Quick Find, enter Opportunity, and select Opportunity Products > Page Layouts.
- Select Edit next to the Intacct Opportunity Product template.
- In the Intacct Template area of the page layout, select Fields.

Drag and drop the Do Not Sync field to the page layout template.
A checkbox is added to the Opportunity Product page layout.
- Save your changes.
When an Opportunity Product is created or updated, if Do Not Sync is checked, the lines on the Opportunity Product are not synced to Intacct.
If Do Not Sync is left unchecked, the lines from the Opportunity Product associated with the Contract are synced to Intacct.
- Use the Mass Sync tool to sync Contracts.
- Use the Modify Contract button from an add-on Opportunity.
Contract renewal templates
The Advanced CRM Integration supports creating a contract renewal in a draft state. If you have not used this option before, you need to re-sync your renewal templates from Intacct to Salesforce.
To re-sync renewal templates:
- Log in to Intacct as an administrator.

Go to Company > Admin > Subscriptions > Advanced CRM Integration and select Configure.
- On the Configure IntacctAdvanced CRM Integration page, select the Other tab.
- In the Synchronization Tools section, choose RENEWAL TEMPLATE from the dropdown menu and select Synchronize.
A confirmation notification alerts you that the sync has started. You’ll get an email when it's complete.
