Assign a role to a user
Assign roles to a user to allow permissions to select parts of Sage Intacct as defined by the role. If a user is part of a user group, they inherit all roles assigned to that user group. You do not need to assign them the role individually.
The Roles information tab appears only if your company uses role-based permissions instead of user-based permissions. Learn how to change from user-based to role-based permissions.

Go to Company > Admin > Users, roles, and groups and select Users.

Locate the user and select Edit.

Select the Roles information tab.
- Select an empty row under Role name, then select a role from the dropdown.If you do not see the role you need, you can create and assign a new role by selecting Add. Learn how to define roles.

Select Save.

When the Verify your identity page appears, enter your password.
To unassign a role from a user, select the Delete (Trash can) beside a Role name.
