Assign a user to a territory

Users can be assigned to specific territories for categorizing and filtering purposes in a multi-entity company, whether at the top-level or entity-level. Territories might affect what data a user can see in reports.

Territories work differently than dimensions, but they're listed under dimensions in the menu to make them easy to find them. They can be used in conjunction with dimensions.

If the User territories tab is empty, then the user has access to all territories.

  1. Go to Company > Admin > Users, roles, and groups > Users.

  2. Locate the user and select Edit.

  3. Select the User territories tab.

  4. Select the dropdown and select a territory to assign to a user.

  5. Select Save, then enter your password to verify your identity.

To unassign a user from a territory, select Delete (Trash can) beside a territory.
