Single-entity company upgrade to multi-entity

We're excited to announce that we're in the process of a phased upgrade of Sage Intacct companies to our multi-entity framework with a top level. After the upgrade, you can continue to operate as a single entity, or expand your Intacct company by adding entities. All this without any implementation on your part.

You do not need to do anything to upgrade to a multi-entity company with a top level. Just assign your company an Entity ID and Entity name so we can upgrade you at your scheduled time frame.

Initial migration began in June 2022 and is being completed in phases. Specifying the Entity ID and Entity name will not migrate data. Your entity information is for the future migration. Sage Intacct will contact you before upgrading your company.

This process does not currently apply to distributed consoles, also known as management consoles.

About the upgrade

We're going to migrate Intacct companies by application scope, beginning with companies that use a particular subset of applications.

We'll communicate further details as we go.

Contact your Sage Intacct representative for any unusual configurations.

Before you begin the upgrade

If your Sage Intacct company uses locations in a different way from their original intended use, inform your Sage representative before being upgraded to a multi-entity company. In some cases, you could need to revert to the default use of locations before upgrading.

In Intacct companies, locations are always subordinate to parent entities. The location dimension always includes both location and entity data. Learn more about locations and entities.

Salesforce CRM Integration customers: If your Intacct company is integrated with Salesforce CRM Integration, then you need to upgrade to Salesforce Advanced CRM Integration. Your company will be eligible for the multi-entity upgrade in the future only if you're running Salesforce Advanced CRM Integration.
