View or edit ownership structure periods

You can edit an ownership structure period, for example, you can add or delete an entity from the structure.

Recall that each parent entity is associated with a book. If you delete a parent entity from the period, delete the book for that entity as well. If you add a parent entity to the period, add a book for that parent entity. You can add or delete a book on the Consolidation rules tab. Include book details as needed, such as the elimination entity and elimination adjustment account.

After editing the period, you'll want to re-consolidate the ownership structure starting from the period you modified.

  1. Go to Consolidation > Setup > Ownership structures.

    Or, go to Consolidation > All > Consolidate structure.

  2. Select the ownership structure whose periods you want to view or edit.

    The Ownership structure periods for <Ownership structure name> page is shown.

  3. Select Edit or View next to the period you want to edit or view.

    The Period page is shown.

  4. Edit the period as desired.
  5. Select Map preview to view the updated map of the ownership structure period.
  6. Select Save as draft.
  7. Select Edit next to the period that you want to edit.
  8. If you added or deleted an entity, add a new book or delete the existing book for that entity on the Consolidation rules tab.
  9. Select Activate to save and activate the ownership structure period.

  2. Select Structure period next to the ownership structure whose periods you want to view or edit.

  3. Select More > Edit or View next to the period you want to edit or view.

    The Period page is shown.

  4. Edit the period as desired.
  5. Select Map preview to view the updated map of the ownership structure period.
  6. Select Save as draft.
  7. Select Edit next to the period that you want to edit.
  8. If you added or deleted an entity, add a new book or delete the existing book for that entity on the Consolidation rules tab.
  9. Select Activate to save and activate the ownership structure period.
