Calendar settings

Specify which days are considered when calculating due dates and other task-related dates.

  • Select Use company schedule to use the weekly schedule set up on the Company information page. If you select this option, your designated weekends and holidays are not considered in the date calculations.

    So, for example, a task due date will not fall on a designated holiday, and weekend days are not counted when calculating a task's start date and due date.

    This selection is dependent on the weekly and holiday schedules set up on the Schedules tab on the Company information page. Make sure that those schedules are up to date if you select this option.

  • Select Use all calendar days to factor all days into the date calculation. If you select this option, all days are considered in the date calculations. Weekend days and holidays are treated like any other day when calculating dates.

Dates are calculated relative to the period-end date.

Field Description
Email notification channels

Specify how task assignees and others receive task-related notifications from Copilot.

  • Copilot is selected by default and cannot be cleared. Copilot will generate notifications that appear as insights in the Copilot panel.

  • Select Email to have Copilot generate an email that includes the insight information.

Task is approaching deadline

Select to notify task assignees when their task is due soon.

  • Select the number of Days before the task deadline to send the notice. Copilot calculates the send notification date based on your selection and the task due date.

  • Use the Select email template field to select an existing email template.

  • If you enabled email notifications, select an email template or select Draft with Copilot to open the Email template page. Here you'll find a message template that you can review and manually edit or refine with Copilot.

    Each time you select Generate, a new draft is created, and you cause the arrows to move between them. The system stores up to 10 drafts and then saves the current draft when you select Save.

    If you select Generate to update the message using AI, any manual edits will be overwritten.

    The page has other settings, including the reply-to information and Cc and Bcc options.

Task is overdue

Select to notify task assignees when their task is overdue.

  • Select a time in the Send at this time field.

  • Use the Select email template field to select an existing email template.

  • If you enabled email notifications, select an email template or select Draft with Copilot to open the Email template page. Here you'll find a message template that you can review and manually edit or refine with Copilot.

    Each time you select Generate, a new draft is created, and you cause the arrows to move between them. The system stores up to 10 drafts and then saves the current draft when you select Save.

    If you select Generate to update the message using AI, any manual edits will be overwritten.

Task is at risk

Select to notify task assignees when their task is at risk of going over due.

A task is considered at risk if it's dependent on another task or set of tasks being completed, and those tasks are overdue.

An email is also sent to the person assigned to complete the overdue prerequisite task.

  • Select a time in the Send at this time field.

  • Use the Select email template for perquisite task field to select an email template for the notification that will be sent to the person assigned to complete the overdue task.

  • Use the Select email template for dependent task field to select an email template for the notification that will be sent to the person assigned to complete the dependent task.

Preceding prerequisite task is complete

Select to notify task assignees when a task has been completed if their task is dependent on the completed one.

For example: Jodie is responsible for submitting journal entries, and Karla is responsible for approving them. Copilot can send Karla a notification after Jodie completes her task.

  • Use the Select email template field to select an existing email template.

  • If you enabled email notifications, select an email template or select Draft with Copilot to open the Email template page. Here you'll find a message template that you can review and manually edit or refine with Copilot.

Daily summary of outstanding tasks

Select to send a notification to task assignees that lists all of their outstanding task assignments. The notification includes the list of task assignments, the task assignments' status, and the target completion dates.

The notification also includes similar information for any task assignments that the recipient's assignments are dependent on. The exception is when an assignee does not have access to an entity. They will not see the tasks in entities to which they do not have access.

  • Select a time in the Send at this time field.

  • Use the Select email template field to select an existing email template.
