Turn on the asset dimension in Sage Intacct
To use the Fixed Assets Management application, turn on the asset dimension in the General Ledger application.
You can also optionally turn on the asset dimension in other core applications to integrate Fixed Assets Management seamlessly and gain new visibility into reporting with the asset dimension. We recommend turning on the asset dimension in Accounts Payable and Purchasing because those areas are commonly integrated with Fixed Assets Management.

Turn on the asset dimension in General Ledger.
-
Go to General Ledger > Setup > Configuration.
-
In the Dimension settings section, select Enable for the Asset dimension.
-
Optionally, select Enforce balancing for the Asset dimension.
What does this setting do?Typically, this setting is not required for Fixed Assets Management unless you have a specific business need for it. When enforce balancing is enabled and a user directly enters a transaction into the General Ledger, they must select identical dimension values for both sides of the transaction. For example, both the debit and the credit for a journal entry must be attributed to the same dimension or no dimension.
