Turn on the asset dimension in Sage Intacct

To use the Fixed Assets Management application, turn on the asset dimension in the General Ledger application.

You can also optionally turn on the asset dimension in other core applications to integrate Fixed Assets Management seamlessly and gain new visibility into reporting with the asset dimension. We recommend turning on the asset dimension in Accounts Payable and Purchasing because those areas are commonly integrated with Fixed Assets Management.

The asset dimension requires an active subscription to Fixed Assets Management. If you are not subscribed first, the dimension does not appear as an option to turn on.
  1. Turn on the asset dimension in General Ledger.

    1. Go to General Ledger > SetupConfiguration.

    2. In the Dimension settings section, select Enable for the Asset dimension.

    3. Optionally, select Enforce balancing for the Asset dimension.

    4. Select Save.

  2. Optionally, turn on the asset dimension in other applications.

    1. For each application that you want to use the asset dimension in, go to SetupConfiguration for that application.

    2. In the Dimension settings section, select the Asset dimension.
    3. Select Save.

      The asset dimension is available to tag and use in reporting across that application.
