Adjustment Journals list

Symbol |
Sort the list by journal symbol. |

Title |
Sort the list by journal name. |

Book |
The book associated with the journal. |
|
Book type |
The type of book that contains the journal. They available types are based on the accounting method selected in Configure General Ledger. |

Disallow direct posting |
A checkmark appears in this column if the Disallow direct posting checkbox is selected on the journal information page. This prevents users from creating an entry for this journal through the Journal entries page in the General Ledger application or through imports and the API. |

Status |
Indicates whether the journal is active or inactive. |

Transactions |
View a list of the transactions in the journal.

Memorized transactions |
View a list of memorized transactions for the journal. |

Edit |
Display the Adjustment Journal Information page, where you can change any of the details of the journal except its symbol. |

Display the Adjustment Journal Information page, where you can view but not edit the information. |

Title |
Sort the list by journal name. |

View transactions |
View a list of the transactions in the journal.

Delete |
Remove the journal. You can delete a journal only if doesn't contain transactions. If there are transactions in the journal, you must first delete the transactions before deleting the journal. |

Symbol |
The abbreviation representing this journal in reports.
The Symbol for a journal cannot be edited.

Title |
The full name of the journal, as it will appear in report headings. |
|
Status |
The default status is Active. Active: This journal appears in lists. Inactive: This journal is still in your company but does not appear in lists. You cannot make a journal inactive if any journal transaction is open or if the journal is currently selected in the configuration page of a service or application. |
| Disallow direct posting | Optionally, you can select this checkbox to allow posts to this journal only through subledgers. This prevents users from creating an entry for this journal through the Journal entries page in the General Ledger application or through imports and the API. |
| Enable project billing flag | Optionally, if you use Projects and have enabled billable General Ledger transactions, you can view and select this option. This will enable you to flag journal entry line items for a project as billable. |
