Set language and locale

You can set language and locale preferences at both the company level and the individual user level. This setting controls the display language and tailors terminology in Sage Intacctto the terms and accounting standards followed by that locale. This ensures that you will see content in your preferred language and according to local conventions.

Additionally, you can customize certain terminology to better match your business needs.

Set language and locale for your company

To set your company environment to the language of your specific locale, select a language preference.

You need administrative privileges to change your company settings.

To set company language and locale:

  1. Go to Company > Company, then select Edit.
  2. On the General information tab, scroll down to the Global settings section.
  3. In Language, choose a language and locale preference.
  4. Select Save.

Set language and locale for a user

Setting a language and locale for an individual user overrides the company settings. It does not impact other users.

To set user language and locale:

  1. Select your login name at the top of any page and select My preferences.
  2. For admins: Go to Company > Admin > Users. Select Preferences for the appropriate user.
  3. In the General preferences section, select the dropdown for Language.
  4. Select the appropriate language for the desired locale.
  5. Select Save.
