View, edit, delete project groups

Project groups are a type of dimension. For more information on dimensions, watch the video: What are dimensions and how do they work?

This topic applies to standard dimensions. For user-defined dimensions, see Manage user-defined dimensions.

You can easily view the details of a project group, and edit or delete a group as needed.

 

View project group details

  1. Go to Projects > Setup > Projects > Groups
  2. Find the group in the list that has the details you want to view.
  3. Select More actions > View at the end of the row.

  2. Find the group in the list that has the details you want to view.
  3. At the end of the row, select View.

Edit a project group

  1. Go to Projects > Setup > Projects > Groups
  2. Find the group in the list that you want to edit.
  3. Select More actions > Edit at the end of the row.
  4. Make your changes and select Save.

  2. Find the group in the list that you want to edit.
  3. At the end of the row, select Edit.
  4. Make your changes and select Save.

Delete a project group

Dimension structures, such as project groups, can be deleted as long as they are not being used for reporting.
  1. Go to Projects > Setup > Projects > Groups.
  2. Find the group that you want to delete.
  3. Select More actions > Delete at the end of the row.
  4. Select Delete to confirm.

  2. Find the group in the list that you want to delete.
  3. At the end of the row, select Delete.
  4. Select Delete to confirm.
