Install the sample Invoice Preview Snapshot report

Intacct provides a sample custom report to use with preview snapshots created in the Contracts application. You can use this sample report as a starting point when creating your own custom reports for use with preview snapshots. You need permissions to Customization Services or Platform Services in order to install and create custom reports.

Non-Admin Business users can duplicate and edit reports.

Install the Invoice Preview Snapshot custom report

The sample Invoice Preview Snapshot custom report is available in the Customization Packages library. This report is available if your company is subscribed to Contracts. Business users with Administrator privileges can install report packages.

To install the Invoice Preview Snapshot custom report:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • If you are subscribed to Customization Services, go to Customization Services > All > Customization tools > Customization packages.
    • If you are subscribed to Platform Services, go to Platform Services > All > Platform tools > Packages.
  2. In the Customization Package list, locate the Invoice Preview Snapshot report and select Install next to it. The message, "Your package has been successfully installed" appears.

Create your own preview snapshot report

You can't modify the sample Invoice Preview Snapshot custom report. However, you can duplicate it and then customize your duplicated version.

To create your own preview snapshot report:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • If you are subscribed to Customization Services, go to Customization Services > Setup > Custom reports.
    • If you are subscribed to Platform Services, go to Platform Services > All > Platform tools > Reports.
  2. In the Custom Reports list, locate the Invoice Preview Snapshot report and select Duplicate next to it. The Custom Report Writer opens.
  3. Leave the Generate invoices preview snapshot line as the primary data source.
  4. Select Next.
