Resource Schedule Analysis by Employee report

The Resource Schedule Analysis by Employee report enables Resource managers to measure resource schedule budgets by employee and is used in conjunction with the Resource Schedule application.

Use the Resource Schedule Analysis by Employee to see:

  • How each employee member is performing against the project resource budget
  • Who has been scheduled to a project or task
  • When an employee has been scheduled, their actual start date, and timesheet data

To access the Resource schedule analysis by employee report, go to Projects > All > Reports > ProjectsResource schedule analysis by employee.

Install the report

Install the Resource Schedule Analysis by Project report either from Customization Services or Platform Services, depending on which you subscribe to. After it's installed, your report appears under Project Reports in the Projects dropdown menu.

  1. From the main menu, go to Customization Services > Overview.
  2. Select the icon for Customization Packages.
  3. On the Customization Packages page, select Packages Library.
  4. Find your report and select Install.
    You might need to refresh your browser window for your new report to appear in Project Reports.

Run the report

You can select the types of items to include and specify how you want the report to appear.

  1. Choose the Filters that you want to include in your report.
    • Use filters to include or exclude specific data in the report, such as customer, revenue account or deferred revenue account.
    • For example, filter by Customer ID to see all projects and how many hours were billed for a particular customer.
  2. Optionally, Format your report. Generally, you can set the layout of the report and the grouping and display of the report contents.
  3. Enter a title, subtitle, and footer text for your report.
  4. View, process, memorize, or export the report.

Report filters

Use filters to focus the results of your report. In effect, filters enable you to isolate and assemble just the data you want. You can set any combination of filters.

To set the filters to fine-tune your report results:

Filter box Notes

Employee ID

Choose the employee for which you want to filter the report.

Employee Type

Choose the employee type for which you want to filter the report. Choose either Contractor, Full-Time, or Part-Time.

Employee manager

Choose the employee manager for whom you want to filter the report.

Project ID

Choose the project for which you want to filter the report.

From Scheduled Start Date/

To Scheduled Start Date

Filter to see employees who have scheduled begin dates within a certain window of time. For example, to see all employees who began working on a project or task this year, enter 1/1/2015 in From Scheduled Begin Date, and 12/31/2015 in To Scheduled Begin Date.

The format must be: MM/DD/YYYY

Prompt on run

Select this checkbox to require an entity or location and department before the report can run.

Titles and footer

Titles, subtitles, and footers apply only to the print versions of this report. Export to Excel or CSV, or select Print for a PDF version.

What's in this report?

The default Resource Schedule Analysis by Employee report consists of the following columns:

  • Subtotal name (Represents the Employee ID, and includes all relevant data associated with this employee.)
  • Employee ID
  • Employee Name
  • Project ID
  • Project Name
  • Task Name
  • Scheduled Begin Date
  • Actual Begin Date
  • Estimated Hours
  • Approved Timesheet Hours
  • Total Timesheet Hours
  • Remaining Hours
