About time sources—Sage Intelligent Time
Sage Intelligent Time (SIT) uses automated time entry based on activity, which means time is captured daily with less effort.
By connecting time sources to SIT, work activities are automatically gathered and organized into activity cards, helping you submit your timesheets faster and more accurately.
How time sources work
When you connect time sources, SIT's machine learning AI processes information from the time sources and presents it back to you as activity cards in your timesheet. Use these activity cards to fill in your timesheet.
The more you use SIT and the more feedback that you give your own AI algorithm, the more SIT learns about your work habits. This means when it's time to fill in your timesheet, SIT will present you with activity cards and time chunks based on your actual work activity.
You can turn time sources on or off at any time.
SIT was designed with privacy at its core. It does not take screenshots, track keystrokes, or gather any location data. You always have complete control over your data and timesheets. SIT's AI simply acts as a helpful assistant that provides suggestions.

Types of time sources
SIT is compatible with most web-based calendars, email, browsers, and desktop applications, including Google Gmail and Chrome, Microsoft Outlook 365, Slack, and more.
The calendar time source captures the time that you spend in meetings. It collects the names, dates, and times of meetings on your calendars. SIT uses this information to create activity cards that you can choose to add to your timesheet.
SIT supports Microsoft Outlook and Google calendars. You can connect up to a total of 3 calendars.
The email time source collects the Subject field, To field, From field, and timestamps from your sent emails. To capture the time that you spend writing emails, you must also connect the Time Assistant. SIT uses this information to create activity cards that you can choose to add to your timesheet. The contents of your emails and the keystrokes you make are not recorded.
SIT supports Microsoft Outlook. It does not support Google Gmail or server-based email systems. You can connect up to a total of 3 email accounts.
The Sage Intelligent Time Assistant is a desktop application that you download and install on your Mac or Windows computer. It captures the time that you spend on your computer. The Time Assistant understands which program is in focus, meaning the program you are actively using, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Chrome. It collects which applications are active, the name of the window or tab, and timestamps. SIT uses this information to create activity cards that you can choose to add to your timesheet. It does not collect any keystrokes you make, location, or any other data.
Download and install the Time Assistant to use it to gather program and web browser activity for your timesheets. The Sage Intelligent Time Assistant requires you to set some permissions on your computer. You can set certain hours for the Time Assistant to run.
Like your calendar and email, the Sage Intelligent Time Privacy Policy governs the information gathered by the Time Assistant.
