1099 supplier contact verification report

You can generate a report that lists the 1099 contact assigned to each supplier set up for 1099 treatment. Creating a 1099 contact verification report is useful for activities like comparing 1099 contact records to the primary contact record assigned, or validating that contact information is entered correctly.

Create a 1099 supplier contact verification report

The custom report writer guides you through the process of creating this report.

  1. Go to your web services application, either Customization Services or Platform Services.
  2. Select Custom reports.
  3. At the top of the page, select Add.
  4. Use the dropdown list on the right of the page to move between steps.
    1. Step 1: Select Supplier as the primary data source.
    2. Step 2: Select the following fields from the Supplier dropdown:
      • Supplier ID
      • Supplier name
      • 1099 name
      • Form 1099 box

Then, scroll down to select Contact name from the 1099 Contact dropdown.

Scroll down to select Contact name from the Primary contact dropdown.

Scroll to Mail address to add contact address fields if you would like to see that information on your report.

    3. Step 4: Drag and drop to order the column sequence.

Drag Supplier ID and Supplier name to the top.

Notice that the Contact and Primary Contact columns are set to display the same label, Contact name, in the report. Rename them to 1099 contact and Primary contact respectively to distinguish between the two columns.

    4. Step 6: Drag and drop to change the column sort priority.

Drag Supplier ID to the top and select Ascending.

    5. Step 7: Add a filter to your report that says: Form 1099 box greater than 0.

This filter will narrow down your report so you’re only pulling in supplier records who receive 1099s.

    6. Step 9: Add a Report title.
    7. Step 10: Select report prompts, if any, to be used in running the report.
    8. Step 11: Do the following:
      • Name the report.
      • Select Add to menu.
      • Select the Application menu to house the report, for example, Accounts Payable.
      • Save the report.
