Set up approvals for timesheets

Set up approvals for timesheets so that users can approve or decline timesheets. For each approval level in your approval process, give permission to at least one user to approve or decline timesheets for that level.

  1. Go to Time > Setup > Configuration.

  2. Scroll to Timesheets approval setting.

  3. Select Enable approval.

    After you select Enable approval, the following section and fields appear:

    • Email notification: Select this checkbox to send email notifications to timesheet approvers when a timesheet is ready for review.

    • Limited approval: Select this checkbox to ensure that approvers can view only line items that they are permitted to approve.

    • Hide billable hours columns on Approve timesheets list: Select this checkbox to hide the billable and non-billable quantity columns on the Approve timesheets list.

    • Approvers: You can select users for the following approver levels:

      • Unrestricted

      • First

      • Second

      • Third

      • Fourth

      • Fifth

  4. Select Save.
