Add templates for dunning notices

Add dunning notice templates, which you can then assign to the dunning levels that you define. There are two types of templates that you can use:

  • Printed document templates: Use for dunning notices that you print and send.

  • Email templates: Use for dunning notices that you email from Intacct.

You might want to alter the tone of your notices depending on the dunning level. For example, a notice sent to a customer who is overdue by 90 days or more might be different than one sent to a customer who is overdue by 31 days.

To help you get started, there's a standard printed document template that you can duplicate and modify as needed.

Add printed document templates for dunning notices

  1. Depending on your company's subscriptions, do one of the following:
    • Go to Customization Services > Printed doc templates.
    • Go to Platform Services > Printed doc templates.
  2. Find the Intacct dunning notice template and select Template.

This link downloads a copy of the standard template, which you can modify as needed.

  3. Modify the downloaded template text and save to your computer.

Make sure to upload your own company logo in the space provided.

  4. In Intacct, select Duplicate next to the standard dunning template.

  5. Rename the template to distinguish it from other templates.
  6. Select Choose file to upload the modified template.

  7. Select Save.

Add email templates for dunning notices

  1. Go to Company > Setup tab > Settings, then select Add (circle) next to Email templates.
  2. Select Dunning notice for the Template type.
  3. Enter a Reply-to email address and the Subject for the email.
  4. Enter the email text for the dunning notice.

Use the Field lookup for company elements dropdown to get merge fields for the email text.

While you cannot include a list of AR sales invoices within the email text, you can attach copies of the AR sales invoices to the email when you send notices.

  5. Select Save.

Next step: Add dunning levels.
