Refresh a sandbox
A sandbox is a copy of your production environment that you can use for testing or training purposes without affecting the data or configuration of your production environment.

When to refresh
As work continues in your production environment, and changes occur, such as added records, subscriptions, or features, your sandbox can become out of date. Refreshing the sandbox reflects your production environment changes.
The name of the refreshed sandbox remains the same.
Restrictions
-
Sandboxes can be created and refreshed up to 4 times each, annually.
-
A service request can be submitted to open a support case for five or more refreshes in 1 year.
-
With multiple sandbox licenses, remaining refreshes are available for use on any sandbox that has not reached its refresh limit.
-
Deleting a sandbox and creating it again counts as 1 refresh.
-
-
Changes made to the sandbox before it’s refreshed are not copied over to the refreshed sandbox.
To refresh a sandbox
- Go to Company > Admin > Sandboxes.
- Find the sandbox that you want to refresh.
-
Select More actions > Refresh at the end of the row.
A dialogue opens and shows your remaining refreshes or indicates if you need to request more.
After you select Refresh, the sandbox goes through the following states:
-
Pending as soon as you refresh the sandbox.
-
In progress after the refresh begins.
-
Ready after the refresh is complete.
Your remaining refresh count is updated when the refreshed sandbox is ready.
The sandbox now reflects any changes made to your production environment.
