Activate an ownership structure

When you activate an ownership structure, Intacct automatically generates the consolidation books for each unique parent entity in the ownership structure.

For example, if your ownership structure includes four parent entities, Intacct generates four consolidation books, one for each parent entity.

You cannot delete or inactivate a book tied to an ownership structure.

  1. Go to Consolidation > Setup > Ownership structures.
  2. Select Edit next to the ownership structure that you want to edit.
  3. Activate the ownership structure by selecting the Active status.
  4. Select Save to save and close the ownership structure.

    Alternatively, select Save and continue to save the ownership structure and proceed to the next step of ownership structure creation.

  1. Go to Consolidation > Setup > Ownership structures.
  2. Select More > Edit next to the ownership structure that you want to edit.
  3. Activate the ownership structure by selecting the Active status.
  4. Select Save to save and close the ownership structure.

    Alternatively, select Save and continue to save the ownership structure and proceed to the next step of ownership structure creation.
