Management console

The Management console enables corporate headquarters, parent companies, or franchise owners to conveniently support, manage, and control the operations of their subsidiaries, stores, divisions, or other entities.

Through a single interface, the Management console allows central staff users to set up, modify, and consolidate any number of subsidiary entity accounts during a single session, using our Secure Slide-In capability. Also with just a few selects, Management console staff users can also create templates to set up online accounting systems for new entities, or they can "clone" new entities from existing ones. From a managerial perspective, organizations can use the Management console to streamline the flow of financial data between the field and corporate headquarters, enhancing the quality and timeliness of financial management activities.

Applications

This list displays those applications to which your company has subscribed. Select the application link to display its main or "map" page. You might see links for the standard applications that come with your basic Intacct service:

Console. Use the My preference application to establish the basic infrastructure of your Management console system and administer your Intacct Management console.

My instances. Selecting this link displays the Instances list. You can use this list to slide into an instances company to perform functions such as bookkeeping for that client, provided that the appropriate access is enabled.

My accounting. Optionally, you might use this application to perform accounting for the console company. When you select the My accounting link, you’re transferred to the Intacct Accounting application. Alternatively, you can set up the top company as an instance and slide into it from the console to perform accounting functions.

Instances

This section allows you to select an instance and then slide into that company by selecting Select. Subsequently, that instance is added to the Most recent list so that you can access it quickly.

Instance field. Until you select at least one instance, this field is blank. When you select the dropdown list, the Select An Instance list is displayed. Select the instance, at which point you’re returned to the home page and the instance you selected is displayed in the Instance field.

Select button. After you’ve selected an instance from the dropdown list, you might select this button to slide directly into that instance. When you do so, a new window opens and displays the home page for that company.

System message board

Intacct message board displays messages posted by Intacct. You cannot change or delete these messages.

Console message board

The top five messages are displayed. To see the entire list, or read the details of a long message, select the Show inactive checkbox, which displays the Messages list. Then select View, or Edit link depending on how your permissions are set. If you wish to post a new message, and you have permissions to do so, go to Console and select Console messages.

This section advises you of the latest features introduced for the Intacct system. Not only can you quickly view a synopsis of those features, but you can also drill down for greater detail on both the new features and ones that have been previously released.
