Run a financial report

From the Reports center

You typically run reports from the Reports center. Use the Reports Center to run all types of reports.

  1. Open Reports center and tab to the type of report to run. For example, Favorites, All reports, My reports, or Custom reports.
  2. To limit the selection, use the View dropdown list to select only the application you're interested in. Only the application reports of the type you selected appear in the list.
  3. Select the report name to run it. The report opens in a second tab. You might be prompted for additional information, such as the As of date. When a financial report is run, the date range preview also appears to the right of the As of date in the prompts. If the previewed date range is set to an As of Date that doesn’t have a reporting period associated within the As of Date, the preview appears and Out of Range.

From the Financial Reports list

  1. Go to Reports > All > Core > Financial reports.

  2. Locate the report to run and select the output you want to see.
    • HTML: displays the report online, in your browser window. Because you are viewing the live report, you can expand or collapse the amount of detail and drill down to more detailed records.
    • CSV: download the report in CSV (comma separated value) format.
    • PDF: opens the report in PDF format in Adobe Acrobat, reflecting exactly how you have expanded or collapsed the summary titles.
    • Excel: opens the report in Microsoft Excel.
  3. If you’re prompted, include any information required and select OK. When the report runs, the date range preview also appears to the right of the As of date in the prompts, if an As of date is required. If the previewed date range is set to an As of Date that doesn’t have a reporting period associated within the As of Date, the preview appears and Out of Range.
  4. Save or Download the report.

Adjust font size when viewing reports

You can adjust the font size and line spacing when viewing a report.

  1. Select Settings at the top-right corner of the report.

  2. Select a font size option:

    • Small: Show the most information per report page. This is the default when you first open a report.

    • Medium: Display a larger font size and more spacing between lines.

    • Large: Display the largest available font size and spacing for the report.

Your selection remains until you change it again.

This feature isn't available for interactive custom reports because the report layout is set by the user when the report was created.

If a user is restricted to the child of a dimension value and then a group is used in reporting that would include the child the option to view the report group is blocked for the restricted user.
