Override posting dates—Fixed Assets Management
When posting entries from the Post Depreciation page, you can choose a custom posting date. The new date overrides the scheduled posting dates. This feature is especially useful if entries were originally scheduled for a closed period but you need to post them in an open period.

- Go to Fixed Assets Management > All > Depreciation > Post depreciation.

Select the depreciation entries that you want to post.
Within each schedule, make sure you select all unposted entries that have scheduled posting dates before the override date. You cannot skip entries in a schedule when posting. - Select Post depreciation.

Select Override posting dates.
The scheduled posting dates of all selected entries will be overridden with a single user-defined date.

Select a New posting date.
New posting date requirementsThe new date must meet the following requirements:

Be in an open period.

Be after the most recent transfer, if any.

Be after the most recent partial disposal, if any.

Be on or after the first unposted entry's scheduled posting date, in each schedule.

Be on or before the next unposted entry's scheduled posting date, in each schedule.
For example, consider the following depreciation schedule:

To post Period 3, valid new posting dates are October 31st to November 30th.

To post Periods 3 and 4 at the same time, valid new posting dates are October 31st to December 31st.

- Select Post.
A new bulk action run is created. After the entry successfully posts, the Actual posting date column on the Depreciation Schedule and Bulk Action Run pages shows the new date that you selected. The Scheduled posting date column shows the original date.
